Overview
Cox Media partnered with Dragon Army to completely overhaul their B2B advertising website, aiming for a refreshed aesthetic that modernized the user experience while respecting rigorous brand guidelines. Our role was to create a versatile design system that could be implemented within a new CMS, resulting in dozens of customizable content blocks for a consistent, repeatable experience that would support Cox Media’s broad content needs.

Challenges
The existing Cox Media brand guidelines were predominantly print-focused, presenting challenges in adapting the visual identity for digital use. Additionally, the user experience needed enhancement to support easy access to Cox Media’s service offerings and allow users to search for coverage in their area effortlessly.
Solution
We redesigned Cox Media’s website, building over 100 content-rich pages and refining critical elements such as the global navigation and detail pages. By reworking these major components, we ensured that users could intuitively locate relevant information and experience a clear hierarchy of content. The new design system incorporated consistent styling and structure, creating a seamless, intuitive user journey across the entire site.
Delight
To enhance engagement, we integrated animations that guided users through the site’s content in a fluid and enjoyable way. A standout feature was an animated map, designed to give users a concise, interactive view of Cox Media’s coverage, adding a touch of delight and clarity to the navigation experience.
Conclusion
The project resulted in a fully reimagined website within a new CMS that aligned with Cox Media’s clean and modern brand aesthetic. We developed dozens of flexible templates, allowing Cox Media to build new pages rapidly while preserving brand consistency. The reworked site now provides a streamlined, user-friendly experience that is both functional and visually engaging, solidifying Cox Media’s digital presence in the B2B advertising space.
